A WINTER one-stop shop is running in Newton Aycliffe today to offer people advice about benefits, home energy grants and fire safety.
The drop-in session will be held in a shop unit, next to the market in the town centre, from 9am to 3pm.
Organisations involved in the County Durham Partnership Against Poverty will be on hand to give advice as part of a council tax benefit campaign run by the partnership.
They include Durham County Council's welfare rights service, Sedgefield Borough Council, Age Concern County Durham and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
