FATHER Christmases have taken time out from wrapping presents to raise money for charity.
More than 25 Santas took part in a 5km fun-run in Richmond on Saturday.
The event raised almost £3,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Pat Kilpatrick, regional fundraising manager for the trust, said: "Everyone really enjoyed the fun run and wearing their free Santa suits.
"All funds will be going towards gene therapy research, which will help to save lives from lung disease."
The race was won by 14-year-old Maddy Windsor, who completed the course from Richmond swimming pool to Easby Abbey and back in 17min 40sec.
Peter Major came second in 18min and John Edmonton came third in 18min 30sec.
Twins Jennifer and Diane Langthorne, from Northallerton, won the best-dressed Santa competition. Organisers thanked Richmond Town Council for allowing the run to take place and the sponsors, including Up and Running, John Bull Outdoor Clothing and Meynell Pet Foods.
l The Cystic Fibrosis Trust will hold a Christmas concert at Darlington Arts Centre at 7.30pm on Saturday. Tickets are £8, and £5 for concessions, on 01325-486555.
