PRINCE William is to visit the region later this month to perform an official opening ceremony.
The Duke of Cambridge, who is a patron of Centrepoint, will visit the charity’s accommodation and support centre, in Sunderland on Friday, November 22 to meet the staff and youths who use the facilities.
The prince will then officially open Haven Point Leisure Centre, in South Shields, where he will tour the facilities and meet local swimmers.
He will also attend a Diana Awards ‘Inspire Day’ training workshop, designed to give young people skills to change their communities for the better.
