YOUNGSTERS are being given the chance to learn how to fence tomorrow with a Yorkshire champion.
Madeleine Wivell, the Yorkshire under-16 girls fencing champion, will offer expert tips to children aged ten and over at two Hyper Holidays sessions at Hambleton Leisure Centre, Northallerton.
The event is just one of the activities being offered to youngsters by Hambleton District Council.
Other sessions include shooting practice for the over-tens with British pentathlete Sam Sanderson, art and dance workshops and a showing of the film The Muppet Christmas Carol.
The fencing classes will be held from 9.30am to noon and 1pm to 3.30pm in the sports hall.
For more information or to book, call the centre on 01609-777070.
