PRIZES were given out on Saturday in Durham's Silver Christmas Festival.
The ceremony took place in Durham Market Place as part of the festive celebrations.
Christopher and Rebecca Conn, of Great Lumley, won a hamper from Waitrose as part of the Christmas Round the World competition.
They correctly identified 19 out of 20 flags and Christmas greetings on trees in Millennium Place, Durham.
Winners of the Silver Voucher competition also claimed their prizes.
Throughout the festival, 1,000 vouchers were given to children in stores while out shopping with their parent.
Four of them contained a ticket that has been swapped for a family day out.
Festival co-ordinator Angela Colbridge said: "It worked a bit like the golden tickets in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. All of the parents said what a great idea it was and the children seemed really happy with their prizes."
Josh Rosby, of Northumberland, won a trip to Beamish Museum; Jack Goodchild, of Durham, won a trip to the Peter Pan pantomime at the Gala Theatre, in Durham; Ben Sanderson, of Durham, won a trip to Alnwick Gardens; and Rebecca Goodman, who could not attend, won a trip to the children's book store, Seven Stories, in Newcastle.
The prizes were donated by the venues.
