A TEAM of nurses is preparing up to deliver 100 Christmas hampers to patients.
The fundraising efforts of community psychiatric nurses Angela Freeman, Carolyn Fisher, Stephen Bell and Kenny Moore raised more that £1,300 for the hampers.
People with mental health problems in the Stockton, Billingham and Thornaby areas will benefit from the community spirit.
The team is based at Clifton House, Thornaby, and works for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust.
Ms Freeman said: "Some of our patients are alone at this time of the year and festive goodies go a long way to making it special for them.
"A big thank you goes to the staff at Sainsbury's at Whitehouse Farm, in Stockton, who helped pack the hampers and make sure that they were filled with as many offers as possible."
