POLICE are appealing for witnesses following three car accidents this week.
On Tuesday, three cars were involved in a collision on the A171 Windel bridge, about 200m west of the Pinchinthorpe roundabout, just after 6pm.
The accident happened when a silver Renault Megane crossed the central crash barrier on the westbound carriageway and collided with a red Vauxhall Astra and a Vauxhall Vectra.
On Wednesday, shortly after 4.30pm, two cars collided in Redcar Lane, Redcar.
Police say a silver Mercedes was forced take action to avoid a dark car, which had pulled out of Warwick Road.
The Mercedes, which was travelling towards The Ings estate, mounted the curb and hit a lamppost and brick wall.
Witnesses to both incidents are asked to call PC Alex Campbell on 01642-301558.
Meanwhile, at 11.30pm on Thursday, two cars were involved in a head-on collision on the southbound carriageway of the A19 at Crathorne.
The incident involved a silver Ford Focus and a green Renault Clio.
Both drivers suffered broken bones.
