A PHOTOGRAPHIC journey through the highs and lows of Shildon Football Club has gone on show.
The Durham Amateur Football Trust is running a display of images from the club's history at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum in Shildon.
Dick Longstaff, secretary of the trust, said: “We’re based in Shildon and we thought we should highlight the town’s club.
“The club has quite a history including a great period in the 1930s when it won the Northern League three times.
“The display has images from Shildon’s earliest days through to the present.
“There are also photographs of the other teams which played in the town including one from the former Shildon Wagon Works.”
The exhibition is in the museum’s Collection Building until November 22. The museum is open between 10am and 4pm with free entry.
The amateur trust also has an exhibition on show about Arthur Clark who was a former chairman of the Northern League and secretary at Crook Town Football Club.
This display is also in the museum’s Collection Building and is expected to run for another month.
