STUDENT DATE: Joe McElderry to speak of Oxford Union
OXFORD HONOUR: X Factor star Joe McElderry has followed in the footsteps of Winston Churchill and Albert Einstein by addressing to students at The Oxford Union Society. The 22-year-old, from South Shields, today (WED) told students about coping with stardom and how young artists are treated within the music industry.
RIVER PLUNGE: A man was rescued from the River Tyne after plunging from a bridge today (WED). The man fell from the Swing Bridge in Newcastle at 12.40pm and was taken to hospital. His condition is not known.
