REDCAR and Cleveland Borough Council is backing a seasonal anti-drink drive campaign by Cleveland Police.
Its road safety team is touring the borough, with the fire brigade, highlighting the dangers of drinking late into the night and being over the limit in the morning.
It takes about one hour for your body to process one unit of alcohol and a typical pint contains between 1.5 and 2.5 units.
People are being invited to find out more about alcohol limits, as well as sample and get recipes for alcohol-free drinks.
People can see the latest digital breathalyser at road- shows in the following locations: Marske Shopping Parade, between 10am and 4pm today; Guisborough High Street, between 10am and 4pm tomorrow; Saltburn Railway Station, near shops, between 10am and 4pm on Friday; and Redcar High Street, between 10am and 4pm on Saturday.
Councillor Eric Empson, cabinet member for strategic planning, development and infrastructure, said: "Even though the legal limit is two units, as a council we have a zero tolerance, none for the road stance.
"If you finish drinking ten pints at 2am and drive to work at 9am, alcohol will still be in your system, and the consequences may be unimaginable.
"We strongly recommend that if you are driving, do not drink alcohol."
