A TALE of passion and drama in the unlikely setting of a small library was told by dancers today, Wednesday, October 2.
About 60 people watched the free preview of Shhh!, a show by dance theatre company C-12, at Stockton Central Library.
The love story will be performed at The Arc in Stockton over four sessions and involves books flying overhead and running on moving shelves by five dancers.
The set has been created from the remains of a real library which was closed in Hatfield, in Hertfordshire.
Alice Bowerman, marketing officer at The Arc, saw the preview. She said: “It’s really clever how they manipulate the set and it’s a really exciting show. There were people of all ages in there to see the preview excerpts and everyone was very impressed.”
Shhh! Will be staged at at ARC on Thursday, October 3 Oct at 7.30pm and Friday, October 4 at 1.30pm. Tickets cost £12 or £10 concessions and can be purchased by calling ARC Box Office on 01642-525199 or at www.arconline.co.uk
