THOUSANDS of people sang, danced and screamed their way through the night at an Olly Murs concert this evening (Friday, June 7).
Thousands of mainly young female fans were queuing from late afternoon to see the X Factor star play in Middlesbrough.
The singer gave a sound check in the Middlesbrough's Central Square which could be heard inside Teesside Crown and Magistrates courts.
As well Murs the line-up featured Amelia Lily, another X Factor finalist from Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough. The pink-haired singer was performing her first major show on home soil.
Also singing was Diana Vickers, again from the X Factor. It was also a big night for young Teesside band Sus2, made up from three 18-year-old friends.
Elliott Robinson, from Ingleby Barwick, Stockton, Tom Powell, also from Ingleby Barwick and Danny Walker from Yarm, auditioned for the right to play.
"We're chuffed to bits," said Elliott.
Another local band, Bre, performed as well.
