QUOITS players are being thrown a challenge by a North-East museum.
Killhope: the North of England Lead Mining Museum, in Weardale, County Durham, is inviting players of all ages and abilities to take part in the Annual Quoits Championship.
Organised by the Friends of Killhope, the event takes place on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16 and admission is free to all players and fathers.
The tournament, starting at 2pm, is played on grass and there is a trophy for the winner.
The day will also include a demonstration by Killhope’s resident blacksmith between 11am and 4pm.
