FOOD STANDARDS: The Food Standards Agency carried out an audit on Durham County Council’s food law enforcement service, which is responsible for inspecting more than 4,000 food businesses across the county. Joanne Waller, the council’s head of environment, health and consumer protection, said: "The council is working to address issues that the report has highlighted and is committed to making any necessary improvements where they are needed."
