THE organisers of an annual charity golf event have appealed for more participants to take part.
Darlington Rotary Club’s annual amateur golf competition had 34 teams take part last year, but so far only 21 have entered this time around.
The event will be held on Thursday, July 11, at Darlington Golf Club.
A Rotary spokesman said: “The competition will still go ahead and funds will be raised for local charities although this will not be as much as in previous years. However it is not too late to enter.
“For a team of four, the entry cost is £160 and this includes the golf, coffee on arrival, a mid-round spike bar and a two-course dinner after play.
“There is an array of good prizes for the winning teams and individuals.”
The main beneficiary will be the Friends of Darlington Memorial Hospital.
To enter, call Alan Charlton, on 01325-743866.
