A TEN-YEAR-OLD Teesside boy has been taken to hospital with a neck injury.
Emergency services, including the Great North Air Ambulance service (GNAAS), were called to Craister Road, in Stockton, this lunchtime.
It is not clear how the boy was hurt and the extent of his injuries is not currently known.
An air ambulance landed on a field near Tilery Primary School, but was not needed to airlift the boy to hospital.
Despite the presence of an air ambulance, the youngster was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, by road.
A GNAAS spokesman said a doctor and paramedic from the air ambulance accompanied the boy in the ambulance.
