AN exclusive edition miniature model railway with a royal link is to be released to train fans at a North-East museum.

Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon is to sell a model of the Class 47 No 47798 Prince William.

The train, by Bachman, carries the royal livery and it is painted in the claret of the royal household and it is limited to 500 pieces.

It will be on sale at the museum from mid-June and it comes with etched Prince William nameplates and a large selection of detailed fittings.

The train is £110 plus postage and packing but there are special offers available to buyers.

It will be £105 with free mainland UK delivery to anyone who orders the train before they go on sale in Shildon and who pays in full. They can then be bought for £110 with free mainland delivery from when they arrive in Shildon until the Duchess of Cambridge gives birth.
