KEEN travellers are being asked to take part in a bus-based treasure hunt for charity.
The Great North Bus Challenge will see participants tour the North-East by bus, hoping to get a “passport” stamped at various locations.
They will be given points based on how many locations they visit, with the winner scooping a first class train journey for two.
Spotting a ‘joker’ on board will earn them extra points.
Participants will be sponsored, to raise money for St Cuthbert’s Hospice, in Durham City, and the Durham-Lesotho Link.
Barbara Henderson, from Carrville, Durham, one of last year’s winners, said: “It was a brilliant day out. We really enjoyed it.”
The Great North Bus Challenge will take place on Thursday, July 4, from 9.30am to 5pm. For more information, call Jade Mcardle on 0191-386-1170 or email jade.mcardle@stcuthbertshospice.com
