ROADWORKS will force the closure of the A66 between Morton Palm and Little Burdon in Darlington this weekend.
The resurfacing operation will mean the closure of the road from 8pm on Friday May, 31 until 6am on Monday, June 3.
Next week there will be a number of overnight closures between 8pm and 6am to complete the works.
The Highways Agency had planned to carry out the major resurfacing earlier this month but was delayed due to poor weather.
Diversions will be in place throughout the closures.
