THE body found on moorland by police looking for a missing grandmother has yet to be identified.
A post mortem has been carried out by a Home Office pathologist to establish the cause of death but the results are not being made public.
The body was found on Monday afternoon buried on moors near Ripponden, West Yorkshire.
Teams of police from the Durham and West Yorkshire forces have been combing the area for several weeks searching for Pamela Jackson, 55.
The grandmother of four and mother of three grown-up sons, from Chester-le-Street, County Durham, has been missing since early March.
Ms Jackson’s partner Adrian Muir, 50, a dry stone-waller from Halifax, has been charged with her murder.
A Durham Police spokesman said today (Wednesday May 29) that investigations were still underway.
