Daring volunteers steeled themselves to take a walk on the Tyne-side.
For the first time this weekend members of the public were able walk on the roof of landmark building The Sage Gateshead.
At points the building is more than 120ft high - twice the height of the Angel of the North.
There are 3,043 stainless steel panels on its roof covering 9,000 square metres, the equivalent to more than two football pitches.
Fitted out with safety equipment the intrepid volunteers took in stunning views across Newcastle and Gateshead as they carefully made their way across the top of the building.
More public roof walks are available on June 1 and 2 and June 15 and 16.
