A TOWN’S annual celebration will close tomorrow (Bank Holiday Monday) with a parade and family fun day.
The Barnard Castle Meet has been running in the County Durham town all weekend and culminates with the grand parade through the centre at 1pm.
There will also be a family fun day in the castle grounds and a day of live music.
Parade participants should meet at GlaxoSmithKline car park on Harmire Road by 11.30am with judging of the floats at noon.
The parade will then leave the car park at 1pm and finish in Newgate.
From noon until 8.30pm there will be a medieval-themed fun day in the castle grounds and at Scar Top featuring circus workshops, a storytelling tent, Punch and Judy show and inflatables.
There will also be live bands playing throughout the day and a fully licensed bar and food.
Entry to the fun day will cost £2.50.
