THE box office record-breaker The Mousetrap is heading to a North-East stage this June.
The Mousetrap is internationally famous for being the longest running show in the history of British theatre - with almost 25,000 performances conducted so far.
And to celebrate 60 years on stage, its current tour features a star cast which is stopping off at Darlington Civic Theatre from June 10 to 15.
The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst.
In her own inimitable style, Dame Agatha Christie has created an atmosphere of suspense along with a brilliantly intricate plot The star cast features famous faces from television soaps including Coronation Street and Eastenders, and tickets are on sale now costing from £18 on 01325-486555.
