POLICE searching for missing teenager Jason Fyles have renewed their appeal to speak to a Good Samaritan who helped him on the night he disappeared.
Jason Fyles, 19, was last seen at an address on Helmsley Road, Sandyford, Newcastle, at 2.45am on Thursday, May 16, where he had gone to visit friends after a night out in Newcastle city centre.
When he got to Helmsley Road at around 2.25am he spoke to a man in the street who helped him find his way to his friends' house.
Superintendent Andy McDyer said: "We still need to speak to the man who helped Jason and I would urge him to contact us as soon as possible."
The Good Samaritan is described as being around 20 years old, 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky athletic build, with short light blond or ginger hair and a pale complexion. He was wearing a white v-neck t-shirt.
Jason, from Bowsden Court, Gosforth, is a student at Newcastle University where he is studying town planning.
He is 5ft 9ins tall, of very slim build with a pale complexion and short ginger hair. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, grey jumper, beige chino trousers and brown leather shoes.
Anyone who has seen Jason is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
