POLICE are seeking help to identify a man and woman they would like to speak to following a series of thefts across the country.
Officers have issued CCTV images following the theft of bedding from the Dunelm Mill store on York’s Clifton Moor store at around 6.15pm last Friday, March 22.
Police are also investigating a number of similar thefts from Dunelm Mill stores in Cleveland, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire totalling thousands of pounds.
A spokesman said: “We suspect that the pair may also have information about a number of thefts which are being investigated across the north of England.
“We urge anyone who can help identify the people in the CCTV images to contact the police without delay.”
The woman suspect, dressed in black is seen exiting the store through the entrance door which triggers an alarm. The man dressed in orange who is seen entering the store at the same time, engaged staff in conversation as the alarm was triggered.
After leaving the store, the pair were seen to leave the car park in a white van.
