Two expectant seagulls are ruling the roost at Newcastle Central Station after choosing a vacant bay in the station’s car park to hatch their eggs – and it could be six weeks before the birds and chicks can fly the nest. The birds’ nest was found in the car park – more than seven miles inland from the coast – a few days ago during a routine patrol by a night shift security team.
