VOLUNTEERS who will build a Lego model of Durham Cathedral were briefed on the project today (Monday, May 20).
Earlier this month, cathedral chiefs appealed for ‘Lego makers’ to help construct a 100,000-plus Lego brick model of the Norman treasure.
Visitors and well-wishers will be asked to buy bricks, priced £1 each, to help with the cathedral’s £10m fundraising campaign for its Open Treasure project, which includes a new shop and world-class exhibition space.
Two Lego maker briefing sessions were held at the cathedral today.
Volunteers must be aged 18 or above. No experience is necessary. Training will be provided. For more information, email: events@durhamcathedral.co.uk
