A MAN who denied murdering a van driver in North Yorkshire made a dramatic change of plea today.
James Brabbs will be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court this afternoon for stabbing to death Mohammed Saleem Khan in Easingwold, near York, last year.
The 26-year-old, from Easingwold, but of no fixed address, had been on trial for three days before this morning's unexpected turn of events.
Mr Khan, 36, from was was found in his hire van in Long Street on September 23, and police initially thought he had been in a crash.
A post-mortem examination later revealed that he had been stabbed in the neck as he delivered shower products in North Yorkshire in a white Europcar Ford Transit.
