BOB the Builder and a Meccano exhibition are among the free attractions on offer at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon during half-term.
Meccano Magic will be held on Sunday, May 26, and Monday, May 27, from 10am and 5pm with a a range of models provided by the North Eastern Meccano Society.
There will also be a range of railway-themed art activities to enjoy from Tuesday May 28 to Friday May 31.
Children’s character Bob the Builder visits the museum on Wednesday, May 29, when he can be seen on the hour from 11am until 3pm.
There will be craft activities throughout the day too between 10am and 5pm.
A Celebration of Early Railways steam gala weekend takes place on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, which will feature replica early locomotives such as Rocket, Locomotion and Planet.
