FROM child gymnasts to skipping pensioners, hundreds of performers from across the region ensured that an annual dance festival was a huge success.
The Keep Fit Association (KFA) held its North East Panorama festival of movement and dance at the Dolphin Centre in Darlington and attracted huge audiences.
The afternoon and evening shows featured teams from all of the North-East branches of KFA Moves North East and was an energetic celebration of physicality.
Among those taking part were three generations of the same Country Durham family; grandmother Margaret Johnson, 72, daughter Denise Durkin, 52, and grand-daughter Nicola Pilmoor, 26, who are all members of the Durham branch of KFA.
Lynne Casey, chair of KFA Moves North East, described the organisation as “an extended family of women who love dance and express themselves through movement”.
