VAMPIRE fiction fans flocked to a North-East shopping centre to meet international bestselling author Rachel Caine.
Ms Caine has written more than 30 novels including the hugely popular Morganville Vampire series, and she dropped in to Darlington’s WH Smith store to sign copies of Fall of Night - the fourteenth book in the Morganville series.
Cornmill Shopping Centre manager, Susan Young said: “The book signing was a great opportunity for fans to meet the author behind this internationally bestselling series and was a real coup for the centre.”
Ms Caine was born in New Mexico and now lives in Texas.
Earlier this year the first book in the Morganville series, Glass Houses, was voted the most popular read in a survey of British schoolchildren.
The final installment of the Morganville series, Daylighters, is due out in November and the series has sold over half a million copies in the UK so far.
