Redcar’s inspiring ‘Palace Hub’, which opened in the spring, is thrilled to announce that Archer’s Ice-cream parlour will be opening on the ground floor in time for the summer holidays.
Archer’s Jersey Ice Cream is a highly successful family business that was established in 2004. The Redcar café will be operated by John and Sue Archer, who opened their first parlour on their farm at Walworth Gate, Darlington and use milk from their large award winning pedigree Jersey herd to create a wide range of ice cream flavours and products.
Sue Archer of Archers Ice Cream said:
“This is a great opportunity for us, we love the North East Coast and we are really looking forward to opening in the Palace Hub, this summer.
As well as our fresh Italian style ice cream, we will be serving our own blend coffee, teas, hot chocolate and speciality ice cream cakes, always with a warm welcome.”
Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Tourism, Cllr Olwyn Peters added:
"This is fantastic news for Redcar and we are thrilled to welcome Archers Ice-cream who are renowned across the North East for their delicious ice cream.
The Palace Hub is an inspiring and stunning place to work and visit and
I love that one of Redcar’s most historic buildings has been transformed in to such a vibrant, creative space.
As well as serving the most fantastic and delicious ice creams, the Palace Hub really is the ideal place to be if you are a creative or digital business.”
