A NEW exhibition focusing on Hinduism opens at a North-East museum next week (Friday, May 24).
Hinduism in India uses daily life objects, prints and photographs to tell the story of religious life on the sub-continent.
Included are photographs by Stephen Huyler, a noted American anthropologist.
The exhibition has been put together by Durham University students.
It will be at the university’s Oriental Museum from Friday, May 24, until Monday, September 30.
The Oriental Museum, on Elvet Hill, Durham, is open 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday and noon to 5pm on weekends and bank holidays.
Entry costs £1.50 for adults, 75p for children aged five to 16 and the over 60s and is free for children under five and students.
