MASTER MASON: Master stonemason Brendan Teasdale will carve Anglo-Saxon designs in stone this weekend in one of the first events to mark the return of the Lindisfarne Gospels to Durham on loan. CHARITY WALK: TV presenter Jane Witherspoon is to take part in a fund raising walk for Marie Curie Cancer Care in the grounds of Gibside, near Gateshead. The 10km walk around the National Trust property takes place on August 31 and will be followed by fireworks and entertainment.
