TWO bikers who died in separate collisions on the same day in North Yorkshire have now been named by police.
Both smashes happened last Sunday and the first occurred at 10.20am on the A171, at the Ravenscar turn-off near the Falcon Inn public house between Whitby and Scarborough.
The rider who died has now been named as Darren Adams, a 47-year-old who came from Stockton-on-Tees.
He had been riding his white Yamaha towards Scarborough in the company of another biker when he was in collision with a silver Nissan X-trail.
The second collision occurred shortly after 1pm on the A169 north of Pickering at Lockton near Pickering.
The rider who died was Lee Constable, who was aged 50 and from Redcar, Cleveland. His machine collided with a silver Vauxhall Astra.
Inquests into both deaths have now been opened and adjourned.
