REMOVALS vehicles from down the ages will be on display at a leading museum this weekend.
The British Association of Removers (BAR) will hold an exhibition and procession at Beamish Museum, near Stanley, in County Durham, on Saturday ( May 18).
The unique collection of more than 15 modern and vintage removals vehicles, representing horse drawn pantechnicons and vintage commercial vans to early-modern removal vehicles, will be displayed on the Beamish Events Field from noon to 2pm.
The vehicles will proceed onto The Town street at 3pm and circle the site, giving viewing and photo opportunities.
A museum spokesman said: “It is thought that this will be the first large display of historic and modern removal vehicles that will be open to members of the public.
“After the procession, the horse drawn pantechnicons will remain in The Town and are on display until 5pm. “
The museum is open from 10am to 5pm and ticket details are available from the museum website www.beamish.org.uk or by calling 0191-370 4000.
