HISTORY buffs are reminded to make a date for Yesterday Belongs To You this weekend (Saturday, May 18).
The County Durham History and Heritage Forum event will be held at County Hall, Aykley Heads, Durham, City, on Saturday from 10am to 4pm, with an official opening by popular television presenter John Grundy, the forum’s president, at 10.30am.
There will be 75 exhibitors spread across 100 stalls, the County Record Office will be open and the North East Film Archive will show films throughout the day.
Roman experts will discuss the Empire’s occupation of Britain and members of Aycliffe Bus Preservation Society will guide visitors around their vehicles.
Entry costs £1 for adults. There is no charge for accompanied children. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
