WOMAN FOUND: Police have traced a woman who was reported as missing last week. Lisa Hernandez had gone missing from her Skelton, East Cleveland home on May 2. Police said she was found safe and well and thanked the public for their assistance in tracing her.
FOOTBALL TRIALS: Youngsters with special needs and disabilities can try out football and other sports at a series of Saturday sessions.
Hartlepool Council’s sport and recreation team are running the sessions every Saturday during term time from 11am to 1pm at Brierton Sports Centre in Brierton Lane.
They cost £2 per person and transport is available on request and places must be booked in advance on 01429 867016.
MINI-BEAST HUNT: Nature lovers will be able to discover bugs and insects at a special event in Hartlepool this weekend.
A Mini-Beast Hunt is to be held at the Spion Kop Local Nature Reserve, an historic cemetery site on the Headland formed from a combination of sand dunes and ship ballast that now provides a unique wildlife habitat. The hunt takes place on Sunday (May 19) from 10.30am to 12pm. Places can be booked in advance by phoning (01429) 853325.
