DETECTIVES investigating a robbery at a village shop in Brompton, near Northallerton, have made an arrest.
A 23-year-old local man was arrested on Monday at an address in Brompton, on suspicion of robbery.
He has now been released on bail while police enquiries continue.
The robbery took place at Brompton Stores, Northallerton Road, Brompton just before 4.30pm on Monday, April 22.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police urged anyone who can assist with the investigation to contact Northallerton CID on 101, select option two and ask for Graeme Bevington.
