THE region’s tourism capital could soon have a new attraction.
Planning officers at City of York Council have advised councillors to approve the transformation of Beetle Farm, at Murton the eastern fringe of city, into a tourist attraction as well as a working farm.
It would see the creation of an animal barn, separate building with various facilities, car park, two wildlife ponds and new field access.
The proposal is expected to employ about five full-time staff and four to six part-timers.
