POLICE have issued photographs of seized property which they suspect may have been stolen.
It follows an incident on April 30 when officers stopped a blue pick-up truck laden with scrap metal and waste materials on Mount Farm Close in Whitby.
At least one item on the truck had been taken without the owner’s permission and police suspect some of the other items may have also been stolen.
They are appealing to local residents to contact them if they recognise any of the items in the photographs. The goods include children’s cycles, kitchen goods, TVs, golf sets, batteries and machinery parts.
Anyone who suspects some of the items are theirs should contact police on 101, select option two and ask for PC Melanie Smith or e-mail her at melanie.smith@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
*Two men aged 18 and 27 from the Stokesley area were arrested on suspicion of theft and released on conditional police bail while the investigation continues.
