A TOWN band is appealing for new members of all ages and abilities to join up.
Young or old, beginner or professional, Ferryhill Town Band is interested in hearing from anyone who wishes to become involved in brass band music and who is willing to join for future engagements.
The band rehearses on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons in the former Bowls Pavilion in Dean Bank Recreation Park.
Peter Atkin from the band said: “New recruits do not even need to own an instrument - they can use one of those already owned by the band.
“We will be holding several open rehearsals on Sunday afternoons in the near future, so people can come along for a listen and even get involved.”
The band’s first open rehearsal will be on Sunday (May 19) at 5pm.
