THE origins of the Milky Way will come under the microscope at Durham Astronomy Society’s next meeting.
Dr Tom Theuns, an astronomer from Durham University, is the guest speaker, discussing the Milky Way’s formation.
There will also be a short discussion of what interested observers should look out for in the night sky this month.
All are welcome at the meeting, at Redwood Lodge, in School Lane, off Church Street, Durham, on Friday May 24, at 7.30pm.
There will be a small charge for non-members.
