A SPONSORED walk to raise money for charity has been held in the North-East.
Former Sunderland and Hartlepool footballer Tommy Miller joined dozens of people, including Hartlepool MP Iain Wright, for the three-mile hike.
Organised by Peterlee and District Lions Club, it is the group’s third annual sponsored fun walk.
Walkers set off from the Hearts of Oak Public House, Oakerside Drive, Peterlee through Castle Eden Dene before heading back to the pub.
The group’s first walk raised £1,500 for the Great North Air Ambulance and last year £1,750 was raised for the Hartlepool and District Hospice, which will also benefit from this year's walk.
