Officers are appealing for information after a wheel was stolen from a Vauxhall Insignia car parked behind Garden Terrace in Leadgate, Consett, at around 4am on Monday May 6.
The wheel is a five-spoke steel Vauxhall wheel with the appearance of an alloy. The wheel is difficult to source and it is believed it may have been stolen for use on another car.
Anyone with information that might assist police with their enquiries is asked to contact PC James Collins on 101.
WORKSHOP EVENT: The Churches Regional Commission is working with Durham County Council to consider the contribution faith communities make to the life in the county.
A free workshop is being held in St Patrick’s Hall, Victoria Road, Consett, on Wednesday June 5 from 1.30pm-4pm.
There will be presentations from Dr Robert Song, senior lecturer in Christian ethics at Durham University, Kathryn Sygrove, chairman of the Durham Fair Trade Partnership as well as Maggie Bosanquet and Stephen Beresford from the sustainability, carbon and climate change team at Durham County Council.
