A MAN posted pictures of his estranged wife on an adult website with a note which read she would "do anything for £40".

Michelle Anderson had complained that her husband Michael Anderson had been harassing her but instead of keeping away he posted the photos of her wearing a bikini online.

The 49-year-old, who had been warned to stay away from his wife by police, continued to pester her, posting the holiday snaps of her on the site with derogatory comments attached, including one which said she would do anything for just £40.

The couple had been married for 22 years before she left him in October of last year.

Mrs Anderson, who has Shane, ten, and Callum, 21, a gunner with the Royal Artillery serving in Afghanistan, by her husband, believed he had slept with a close friend of hers, but when she dumped him he embarked on a campaign of harassment.

She called the police and Anderson, of Western Approach, South Shields, South Tyneside, was arrested.

He pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment without violence at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court.

Paul Doney, prosecuting, told the court that the harassment all happened between the beginning of January and early February this year.

He said: “The victim said he had been very controlling.”

Charlton James Carr, defending, said it all happened in the aftermath of Christmas and was a particularly emotional time.

Anderson was given a three-month community order with an electronically-tagged curfew between 7pm and 7am and made subject of an indefinite restraining order banning him from contacting his ex.
