TELEVISION presenter John Grundy will open a local and family history event next week (Saturday, May 18).
Mr Grundy will launch Yesterday Belongs To You, an event run by the County Durham History and Heritage Form, of which he is president.
The fair will feature displays and stands from more than 100 groups, societies and traders.
It will be held at County Hall, Durham, on Saturday, May 18, from 10am to 4pm. Entry costs £1.
Visitors can also tour Durham County Record Office’s archive strongroom and sign up for a Durham County Council project to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
