PHOTOGRAPHS celebrating the region’s bridge building heritage are being exhibited as part of a festival championing the North-East’s creativity.

The photographs are from the Cleveland Bridge collection and will be shown at the Head of Steam in Darlington until Sunday, June 9.

The display, which is part of the Festival of the North-East, includes photographs of projects undertaken in the North-East, like the Transporter Bridge, in Middlesbrough, as well as pictures of the workers at the Darlington-based engineering company, Cleveland Bridge, which was established in 1877.

Normal museum entrance fees apply. For more information on the festival visit festivalne.com
