TWO men have been arrested following drugs raids on York houses.
North Yorkshire Police targeted properties in the Acomb area of the city on Tuesday, May 7 as part of Operation Enable, and confiscated drugs and stolen property from several houses.
Warrants were carried out in New Lane, York Road, Cornlands Road, Poppleton Road and Danebury Drive.
In York Road officers discovered cannabis and recovered suspected stolen property, including a bike and power tools.
In New Lane police said a large quantity of cash was found in a Vauxhall car, and officers found an illegal self-defence spray and what was believed to be cannabis.
Officers and a police dog searched a four-bedroom property and two cars.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class B drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 34-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs following searches in Cornlands Road and a 40-year-old man in Poppleton Road was reported for summons for possession of a controlled drug.
