A CHARITY has unveiled a new course to help unemployed people find work.
Consett and District YMCA is aiming to help jobless people of all ages across the county get back into employment.
It is a ‘roll on/roll off’ course so people can enrol anytime up to June 21 and covers CV writing, managing money, team work, employee rights and functional skills in maths and English.
The course will give the participants nationally recognised qualifications, take up to seven weeks to complete and students can receive up to £150 cash on completion.
Course manager David Winter said: “This course is the first step for anybody aged 16 to 65 wanting gain the necessary training, skills and qualifications which will support them in their quest to becoming part or full time employed.”
The course is held at Consett and District YMCA on Parliament in Consett.
